I grew up in western Washington, starting flat track racing at age 5 with a dream of becoming a champion. At 20, I achieved that dream by winning the grand national championship. Joining factory Harley Davidson launched my career, representing them at the X-Games and racing against legends like Marc Màrquez and Valentino Rossi, making me feel like a rock star. Fame brought a string of injuries – two elbow replacements, broken and dislocated shoulders, a fractured leg, jaw, and multiple concussions. Through it all, Rookie’s of 79 provided crucial support, preventing financial hardship. In 2018, a tragic accident at the X-Games led to a life-changing spinal cord injury. Recovery is an ongoing battle, requiring expensive specialized care and equipment. The charity and fans have become like family, and I’m grateful for their support. I stand at my wedding, believing anything is possible. Support for Rookies of 79 is vital for others in similar situations.
